The Legend of Ham Radio General upgrade Podclass:
John Martin, KF8KK and Mike Dell, N7LMJ are producing a new podcast that will teach listeners everything they need to know to pass their General Class Amateur (Ham) Radio license upgrade. The Original Ham Radio Podclass has had over 500 students and more and more are using it to get their Technician class license. John and Mike are both Amateur Extra class licensees with nearly 50 years experience (combined) in the ham radio hobby.

Podcasting is a term used to describe a collection of technologies for automatically distributing audio programs over the Internet using a publisher/subscriber model. It differs from earlier online delivery of audio or video because it automatically transfers the digital media files to the user's computer for later use. Podcasting enables independent producers to create self-published, syndicated "shows," and gives broadcast radio or television programs a new distribution method. You don’t even need an iPod or other MP3 player to listen. You can listen right on your computer using most any audio player.

ABOUT John Martin, KF8KK: John grew up on long island New York and received his ham radio license in 1974. John has worked as a broadcast engineer for most of his career along with running his own successful internet based children’s toy business and an electronic product mail order business. John has taught 2 successful live ham radio license courses and the original Ham Radio Podclass. John is also active in ARES and RACES and is an ARRL accredited volunteer examiner.

ABOUT Mike Dell, N7LMJ: Mike grew up in Traverse City Michigan. Mike is currently working in Graphic arts for a printer publisher in Traverse City. Mike earned his first ham radio license in Idaho in 1987 while serving there in the in the US Air Force. Mike is the Producer of the original Ham Radio Podclass Mike is active in ARES and RACES and is an ARRL accredited volunteer examiner.
